Well thought out, I definitely appreciate your views on the subject and agree that we see "Nobles" differently. I just see removing the bluff penalty so you can have both your nobles and my nobles living side by side happily plotting behind each others backs. :]

Strictly, what I intend is a bonus on detecting Forgery attempts, and Forgery is self-opposed (I think).

I probably could have phrased it better, but allowing a guy who's lived his life among official documents to have a bonus when faking it isn't overpowering IMHO. :)

I'd argue that you can have both, and both be "titled", but that your version already has good support under the rules as written -- just take Rogue levels, or Blackguard levels, or Bard levels, or whatnot. :)

Consider also that you can be "Noble" without being rich -- Cpt. Carrot would be my sterling example.
