Well thought out, I definitely appreciate your views on the subject and agree that we see "Nobles" differently. I just see removing the bluff penalty so you can have both your nobles and my nobles living side by side happily plotting behind each others backs.

Strictly, what I intend is a bonus on detecting Forgery attempts, and Forgery is self-opposed (I think).

I probably could have phrased it better, but allowing a guy who's lived his life among official documents to have a bonus when faking it isn't overpowering IMHO.

I'd argue that you can have both, and both be "titled", but that your version already has good support under the rules as written -- just take Rogue levels, or Blackguard levels, or Bard levels, or whatnot.

Consider also that you can be "Noble" without being rich -- Cpt. Carrot would be my sterling example.
