Need Ideas how to use this cliffhanger

I am currently looking for an idea, how to use the following situation:

A character (Feylock) has split from the group (no problem here, she knows there will be no sideplot or something). She sat herself in a taverne and got really drunk, while the rest of the group were of doing some diplomatic stuff. Now for the last evenings cliffhanger: When she was drunk I told her, that she awakes, feeling dizzy and being dragged away to somewhere. A green nose appeared in her field of view and a voice said "I told you, you would return to me, my bride."

Background: In her very first adventure (Level 1, now they are almost Level 9), they defeated a goblin rogue. The player (female) said "I will bind him, like real bondage good." I rolled with the punch and said the goblin actually likes it. When they awoken after the extended rest, the goblin was gone and the Feylock had a ring on her finger. (In my world, the classical goblin way of a marriage. Sneak up and put a ring on her finger, she either kills you or she is your bride. As the goblin is still alive, the feylock is his bride).

Now, what could I make from this situation? Any Ideas?

Edit: The goblin is not really evil, but just madly in love with the feylock. (She is almost as sneaky as him)

I'm not sure you need any help, really.
If you were good enough to set this up, there's not much we can do you haven't thought of.

Short options?
1: Free xp for your feylock as she invokes the goblin laws of no-fault divorce in the back of his head.
2. A six to nine month sabbatical for the feylock followed by negotiated child support.
3. A retired feylock who becomes a really interesting NPC...seriously, I'm stealing this whole idea.
4. Fodder for your world's version of Jerry Springer.
5. A lot of annoyed players who didn't want to roleplay "Fantasy Divorce Court". Seriously, make sure other people get to have important roles in this as well. I have no idea what those would be, mind you.

First: Thanks for your kind words.

I thought about something the other players could do, to get our feylock out of this mess. Maybe I will make a "silly"episode about a goblin Jerry Springer  No, probably I will have the feylock dragged to a goblin shaman, who will start the "Ritual of Marriage binding" mentioning, that the feylock will never be able to get away if it is done. I will drop the other players some hints where to find her. This will be a pure RP session, as the goblins are no treat for the characters at all. As soon as they find her, the goblins will run for there lives. And the ritual... well, probably there will be a ring permanently fused to her finger ;)

How does that sound?

I'd keep it far away from a shaman in the normal sense. Too much like human marriages.

A dominatrix that was able to judge fertility might work. Have the goblin marriage be very non religious but still consistent. Feylock must be fertile, must be honest that she was fairly ringed, and must be captured by the whole goblin family or clan.

The clan might not be happy with all the extra fuss but once they are into it they will have to be bought off to let it fall.

Fetlock might mutilate herself into infertility... You could have her highlight her inadequacy compared to the goblin view of beauty.

Furthermore, at this point in the courtship, she can no longer simply kill her husband. That was the engagement rule. Every wife is entitled to the protection of mother BUUUGAAAA before her husband's wrath. She need not be faithful to him but she better respect the clan, the laws, and her god. Alternately a wife who survives her husband might be the property of all the men of her tribe.

Depending on if your player likes this sort of thing, this could be really funny.

Another possibility might be proclaiming herself given to a particular God. A norse congregation might rise up to protect one of their new priestesses.... perhaps others.

The goblin is sneaky due to his contacts within the Feywild; he is half-goblin, half-something, and wishes to bring his mate back to the auld sod and have a nice official wedding in front of all of his family.

All hell breaks loose as the goblin's invoking of his right to the warlock is challenged... by the creature who owns her contract... someone much further up on the totem pole in the realm of Faerie than any goblin, and who was promised the warlock's loyalty.

The players are given a choice; free the warlock from her forced nuptuals (and saving the goblins who live in a village in the near reaches of the Feywild, possibly supplying some interesting goodies)... or letting all hell break loose, and possibly earning the wrath of the emissary of the force which holds the warlock's fealty.

Slainte,

Seriously, I'd do nothing in-game right now. Just repeat this every once in a while. You also need to have a serious chat with the player. This has the potential to be seriously un-fun.

At some point have the PCs be being stealthy with a guide and have them observe a ringing and have the guide explain it to them. Then watch their faces. :)
