Somehow this reminds me of this room full of rabid chicken in Baldur's Gate .

It reminds me of who your old Sensei is in Heretic 2's tutorial. An immortal masochistic telepathic chicken that's hanging by its claw from a rope. Once you finish all the movement exercise, you get to perform the combat exercises, and he'll gleefully tell you how many hit point damage you inflicted him -- the more, the merrier he is.

It was very, very, very silly.
