Need stats for a goat...what ought I use?

Just a ordinary, run of the mill goat? Not a demon goat from hell sort of thing.

If the former, the goat is about the size of a large breed dog. Use the dog stats and take away the bite attack and scent ability and substitute a 1d4+str slam (headbutt). That should be close enough.

1d4 damage?

Goats would probably be small. 1d3-2 damage from their horns.

Unless you are thinking of some special dwarven war-goat or something, in which case you'd be better off making the stats youself, or just take a horse and add horns.

I've kept a few goats in the past as dairy animals. Goats are amazingly powerful creatures for their size. A ram slamming a man in the chest can easily snap a few ribs. If they get that small a damage though probably need free racial feat that improves damage to account for their horns.

Don't forget to give the goat an outrageous Climb score (Probably with racial bonus), those things can run up slopes so close to vertical a human would need a rope. I'd also give them a smaller escape artist skill because I could never keep mine in a pen for long without them climbing, ramming through, or jumping any enclosure.

I'd stick with low damage. Sure, they could be threatening to a level 1 commoner, but they aren't deadly creatures. One point of damage is pretty serious to a 3hp human.
