D&D 5E (2014) Need suggestions for epic tasks worthy of a demigod

I would suggest reading up on the tasks of Perseus.
Also, there are the tasks that Psyche had to undertake after seeing the face of her husband Eros/Cupid. She then has to take up a series of impossible tasks. Sometimes with secret help. In Part 2, Chapter 1 of C.S. Lewis's Till We Have Faces, Orual, Psyche's sister who convinced Psyche to look on her husband's face at night, has visions where she helps her sister with her tasks. In one case, she is an ant helping to move grain. The part you could use could be helping someone else with a task without them knowing about it.
