Need the ability to run without getting tired

Hey guys, I'm trying to recreate a 3e character for forth, and this is last bit I need to get a near perfect conversion.

The 3e character had immunity from fatigue, so he could sprint all day without tiring.

Is there an equivalent power, feat, pp, epic destiny, item anything that grants this ability?

RAW, it's called "being first level". ;)

To get the same general vibe, I'd just make sure he's trained in Endurance, and possibly take some Endurance skill powers or Skill Focus: Endurance. A bonus on skill checks replicates the effect in most endurance-based skill challenges.

By RAW, "normal" people, i.e., not monsters or Heroic PCs, get tired after 8 hours of walking. PCs never get tired of walking. There are zero rules for running in place of walking. So ask your DM. Only thing that even comes close is the hostile environment rules.

I am not sure there is a RAW listing for extended running, though I feel like I read a skill challenge or adventure scenario that had something about using Endurance if the party attempts to run the entire time.

Though Endurance in general covers stuff like avoiding fatigue from strenuous activities (like prolongued swimming, or forced marchs through hazardous environments, etc).

Thus, the answer to your question in this respect would be -- max out your PC's endurance. So skill training / skill focus (endurance) and items that boost endurance would be the way to go.

Running is moving speed +2. So if you can get your character's speed 2 higher than it would be otherwise, you can "run" all day. For example, from a human perspective, an elven predator druid is constantly running without tiring.

Just give the character a boon that lets him run tirelessly. Its not a specific ability that is given out by anything available in the standard rules that I know of.

The closest thing I can think of is the "Dark Wanderer" epic destiny. They have an ability at 24th level that lets them walk anywhere in the cosmos in 24hrs without stopping.

It's not exactly "running without getting tired", but it's the closest thing I can think of in 4e.

Check out Martial Power 2. There's a Level 6 Martial Practice called Long-Distance Runner that lets you run for an extended period of time (up to 24 hours straight).

Or, as others have pointed out, you could just ignore MP2 and do it without needing to spend character resources. Pretty much like all of the martial practices.

Or I could answer the OP's question instead of making a needlessly snarky response to someone who was just trying to be helpful. Yeah, I think I'll go with that option.
