Hello everyone,
I have recently purchased the D&D 4e Giftset and H1 Module and I am planning running my first game with my group of ragtag adventurers next week. But while learning the new ruleset, I am baffled at the amount of data that needs to be recorded and taken care of in combat, compared to previous editions. Other than initiative for PCs and NPC/Monsters, each character must record ongoing powers that affect them, upkeep conditions at start of turn such as ongoing damage, St/Mv/Mn actions, conditions at end of turn such as saves, etc. The fact that even first level characters will cast ongoing effects and damage calls for a combat log from the very start of their adventuring career. Can anyone help with PDF/Excel simple or interactive (for use of PC) combat log applications that simplify the recording of combat to the point where the DM can record all info on paper and just follow the steps presented on the chart.
Thanks in advance.
