Negatives to Enhancements

I play with a modified Planescape cosmology. Right now, I have characters who are in a sheltered bublble within the Negative Energy Plane, 2 planes away from thier magical items' home plane.

Enhancements (any kind for me) take a -2.

My question is this:

If you have a weapon that has multiple abilities/enhancements such as keen, forceful, flaming burst, and a +2 enhancement, what would you take away first? Just the +2, or do you take away one of the other enhancements to the weapon?

I'd just lower the enhancement bonus (the +2) rather than involving the other abilities like keen or flaming.

Keeps it simple that way.

In 3e, the enhancement bonuses aren't reduced by travelling to other planes.

In 2e, the plusses are reduced, and as soon as it reaches +0, all other powers are also supressed. So for any +1 or +2 weapon, they would lose all powers.

That's what I thought too. Ouch for my players! The weapons would remain Masterwork though...
