Nentir Vale: Is it official?

I sort of hope they don't do anything much with it. I have been out of the game for many years now, and my DMing and world designing skills are a bit rusty. I am finding the Nentir Vale map to be quite useful as a jumping off point for my own setting in the making.

I've already started adding my own features to it and fleshing out some others. For example the DMG mentions a cult to Tiamat existing within the city of Fallcrest. I have already started fleshing this aspect out, which in the DMG only consists of stats on one NPC and a few minor notes.

Additionally, the ruined country manor "Kobold Hall" has become the ancestral home of one of my PCs families in my fledgling campaign, and the Tiamat worshipping kobolds there are connected with the cult in Fallcrest, and are in fact working together with the self styled "lord" of the manor house in Fallcrest itself.

In a nutshell, I guess what I am trying to say is that the Nentir Vale setting provides just enough interesting hooks and tidbits to get the old creative juices flowing again and allows me to brush up my rusty DM skills.
