Net and Monkeygrip

My gnome has a 6 strength, a 10 dex, a peg-leg giving him 10 base speed, the noncombatant flaw from UA, and is splitting levels between bard/sorc. So I've given up hope of ever being good at combat.

So I figure- this character should use a net. Ranged touch attack should be easy enough to make, and entangled is a nice feature. The PHB says

"A net is useful only against creatures within one size category of you."

So, tiny, small, or medium character. If I took monkey grip- could I wield a medium-sized net and therefore affect small, medium, and large creatures?

And then another, comletley un-related, question. I used to have this cool bar above where I type my post which had buttons like 'insert quote tags' various font effects... maybe something for hyperlinks- it's gone now... anyone know how I can get that back? Thanks!

No.

"A net is useful only against creatures within one size category of you."

A generous DM may allow it since the net would be big enough, but that trailing rope might wind up being used to drag you away.
