Netscape Reply problems

For some reason the Message field I type in to write a Quick Reply, a full reply, or a new thread are the same grey-black background, with black text over it. It only looks like thise when I use Netscape, which in all other ways I prefer using over IE. Anyway to fix this? The dark black text on light black background is really hard to read.

I use netscape 7 and 4 before that. I have not used quick reply, but...


Do you have the default colors enabled? My eyes suck and all the sites I peruse seem be set on 'blind the man' mode. So I have my browser set up to a dark red on light grey color scheme.

It is in preferences (on my Mac, no idea windows anymore...) under Appearance: Colors.

Set them to what ever and look for the 'When a webpage provides its own colors and background' chose 'use my chosen colors, ignoring, blah, blah'

I only mention it so you may see if it is the site or the browser. I usually get a dark grey with yellow letters (the few times I change back to check the color tags on messages).

Edit: Cannot get quick reply to work and my reply field is light grey with black font. Slap you computer and tell it no more RAM if it does not shape up.
