Neutral/Evil spontaneous Cure vs Inflict

Doesn't Kelemvor hate undead and have all his clerics destroy them when he can?

Yes. In fact, the Doomguide PrC from Faiths and Pantheons is a specialty priest of Kelemvor and they get special abilities that help them battle undead.

The Evil Cleric in my group was recently quite cheesed off when I reminded him that he can't cast "Protection from Evil", since he's evil.
Hmm? Evil characters can't cast Protection from Evil? That doesn't sound right - could I have a book reference, please?

Evil clerics or clerics of an evil deity cannot cast spells with the [Good] descriptor.

Like Protection from Evil.

An evil wizard can cast it just fine.

sooo....the advice would be go Lawful Neutral Cleric, and spend a few slots a day on cure spells, and use undead to my advantage?

or go Lawful Good and have an abundance of extra spells and spontaneous cure...because currently, *since i lost (this time) my battel to play a fey'ri rogue* i'm only worried about

1. what kind of cleric to go (also any FR deitys with the Luck domain would be useful)

2. And i'll be posting up two 'packages' i made, to have a poll on which to play...

But currently, if you oculd answer questions 1. would be VERY helpful

thanks in advance

Oghma & Tymora off the top of my head. One is neutral and the other is good I believe. There is also an elf, dwarf, and halfling god that has the luck domain. The others I think are evil, like Mask.

Then there's Beshaba, the CE goddess of Ill fortune.

Oghma, the N god of knowledge and bards.

Mulhorand: None

Drow: None

Dwarves: Abbathor, the NE God of Greed.
Haela Brightaxe, the CG Goddess of Luck in Battle.
Vergadain, the N god of Wealth and Luck.

Elves:
Erevan Ilesere, the CN God of Change and Mischief

Gnomes: None

Halflings: Brandobaris: The N God of Stealth and Thievery.
