Neutral XP?

I recently received an Experience Point, but I noticed that instead of having the normal reputation_pos.gif icon next to it (in my Latest Experience Points Received page) it shows a reputation_balance.gif icon. I'm not 100% sure, but I also think that it didn't add to my XP total.

Did I somehow receive a point of neutral XP instead of positive XP? Is this even possible in the system?

New folks (those with not a lot of XP themselves) can't give XP. Rather, they can give XP, but it has no value.

It's tied to your postcount. If you haven't posted much the exp you give is neutral.

Do you mean: does the neutral exp that was already given turn positive later? I don't think so.

Looking at what me and Merkuri answered, and what vBulletin allows, it's possible that, depending on how they've set the system here, one of us might be wrong, or both of us might be right.
