Yeah, I know it's an old game. But at least that means a lot of people either have it already, or can get it really cheaply and easily. And it'll run on everyone's systems.
Five or six years ago we had an "official" EN World NWN server. It proved fairly popular, and it ran for a year or so, but I was pretty much running it on my own and didn't have time to keep it up.
We've got the WotBS MMORPG coming in the next year or so, but I figured it might be fun to put together a NWN2 EN World server. I've found a cheap server hosting package which could be used.
Anyone interested? I figured it could start small - literally just a tavern - and be gradually expanded into a persistant world. Lots of little "easter egg" nods to the EN World community (say, village guards named after the moderators and so on). It would be a mistake to get to ambitious and say "hey, we'll make an epic city!" but if we started small we could gradually add to it.
I think it would be fun.
