Background: The Kaiser of Mittendein has ordered the construction of a fortress where the town of Tillich was razed by goblins several years ago. The work there is progressing well and commoners are returning to the area under the protection of the Mittendein army. Strange events are beginning to take place in the area which has attracted adventurous people as well.

Restrictions: This is a heroic adventure. Evil characters will need a good reason to be here.

"The wood elf that stands before you is of about average height and medium build, slightly over 5 feet tall. He appears to be young still, for an elf anyways. His outfit is flamboyant to say the least, bright green patterns of leaves and such on the outside of his garments but in the folds of his cloak you notice midnight blue fabric and what seem to be faint white dots, stars perhaps. Other than his clothing you notice a pack on his back, slung beside it you see a shortbow as well as a guitar. From his belt you observe a small quiver of arrows as well as a sheath for a dagger or other small weapon. He grins and moves closer to make an introduction. . . . "

It's been a while since I played, and I can't quite remember everything about character creation. How much starting gp do 1st level pcs get? Is it one half max?

And an unrelated to game question... can I make a signature without being a community supporter? How about adding a pic of my own for an avatar? :>

A man of huge stature, he appears to be about 6'7" with green eyes weighing
approximately 238 lbs. Has long curly hair tht is kept tied back and a long black mustache and beard tht is braided in a twirl. His arm and legs are cordially musled to a thick form which gives him the look of being burly in form, if not dwarf looking............

My thanks, Janaxil. That was a more current version of the pdf than I have saved on my computer. I am still a bit puzzled over gp values, it says the average values from the phb for that class, so that would be the average listed in table 7-1?
