New Advenure from Dungeon up...The Haunting of Kincep Mansion...

I agree that ENWorld has been quite frustrating of late, but to be fair so has WoTC's site. I can tell when they are about to put up new content, their servers return Server Error 500's.

The quality of this last adventure is horrid. It's going to have to be better to win my dollars. Dungeon is the primary reason I would end up subscribing to DDI, but I don't like crap and won't pay good money for crap.

Is it just me or are the maps absolute crap? The resolution is screwed up or something. Agreed too, the quality of the scenario is highly lacking. I can see why it never made it out of their pile before.

You are not the only one. When i see the maps, the carthography,.. i was wondering why they make this with low quality. If it's an electronic magazine, they couldn't worry about the size of the magazine.

It does seem very sloppy. What really made me cringe, however, is this flavor text:

Putting aside the idea of a jumble of fallen trees "giving" a creak, I can't shake the image if a disembodied human head floating into view and its headless body appearing a moment later. I imagine the head arriving at the scene ahead of the body. The body is out of breath as it comes into view, having needed to run to catch up to the head. ;)

I assumed that is exactly what they meant. Does it go on imply that the creature being encounter is just a person and not some disembodied head?

ENworld 2, Gleemax forums and the quality of the latest adventure, all crummy since the 4E release. I don't know about anyone else but the enthusiasm is waning. I have played 4E about 8 times now and I like it but with so many hiccups from WotC and even here, where I get 90% of my news and forum-discussion, I am finding it hard to justify even watching the forums... once that goes so does the desire for the latest product or freebie.

Both WotC and ENworld need to kinda wake up and smell the coffee and address the concerns we repeatedly mention: quality, ease of use and a mature product. Yipes

I am not digging the lo-res maps either, and some of the editing is sloppy for sure.

As to the quality of the final product, we will see if errata is included in the final "whole magazine" pdf. I wouldn't mind a lo-res map on the page, but an accompanying PDF with Hi-Res maps (both keyed and unkeyed) would to miles to improve this particular product.

Actually, they should be doing this anyway. It was GREAT when Paizo did it for Dungeon. As far as I know, they aren't doing it for Pathfinder modules, though. I wonder why?

And I am NOT digging that it took me 8 (EIGHT!) tries to get my last post in. Between this profile and my first, I have been a member of EnWorld since 2002, and the performance here is the worst I have seen.

As for the Dungeon mod: I didn't mind the cartography itself - not bad at all. From what I've seen of WotC's relatively recent stuff (especially online), the problem lies with the uninspired design, not the cartographer (even though he/she is no Christopher West). The low-res is certainly terrible.

I am looking at my Curse of the Crimson Throne and RotR PDFs, as well as the ten Gamemastery adventures I purchased and I only see keyed maps. I don't see any with both keyed and non-keyed maps.
