So, I got myself a new unit just before Xmas. 1 bedroom, 1 lounge, 1 kitchen and you. Life is pretty good, all things considered, although this thing called a "mortgage" is cramping my style a bit. Pics follow.
The lounge, looking out the sliding doors. All the electronic gear is on the left, and the sofa on the right. The sofa cost more than the rest of the furniture combined. Its fate is to be covered by pizza crumbs.
Ikea shelving and table. This is my de facto junkpile area. On the right is the kitchen.
Speaking of electronic gear, that's the PC, LCD TV, pay TV box, and DVD home theater unit. Next to the PC is the subwoofer, which is bloomin' loud. I am learning the joys of conspicuous consumption.
Selection of 80s rock....
That there on the monitor is a Hello Kitty vibrator. Take no notice of the box of tissues next to it.
The kitchen has a stainless steel theme, although you can't really see it all here. Observe the contemporary artwork cunningly disguised as a pair of empty milk cartons.
The view from the balcony:
I can even watch the cricket at the playing field across the road (well, the bit that isn't obscured by other apartment blocks):
