Where Hong lives is actually a newly-gentrified area, brought slightly upscale by the very breed of apartment block that he lives in. Previously, the suburb was fairly isolated as the last outpost of civilisation on the train line running north from Sydney, whereas these days new apartment buildings and a redeveloped town centre/shopping precinct has revitalised the area.Turanil said:Anyway, I think it looks pleasant here (both the appartment and the surroundings). I also like seeing more of some Enworlders' lives, rather than dubious avatars and false genders. By the way: is this your minis I see in the plastic transparent boxes on top of the shelf in the first pic? And thus: where are the gaming books? (Need to know before the burglary)
But, oh noes! Where will all the teenage riffraff hang out now?
Ahh, in the huge shopping center food court. Safe.
The lack of chairs in Hong's apartment is indeed lamentable, though apparently recently rectified.
Lastly, Australia is never cold and dusky. Our winters are better than some European countries' summers; the major difference, I am reliably informed by a Finnish friend of mine, is that we don't use central heating so our winters can be much colder to live through.
