New armor

High Plate 4,000gp; +10 AC; +2 Max Dex; -4 ACP; 20% ASF; 20/15 move; 40 lbs

Melnibonean Plate is always MW and usually only available by a Melnibonean craftsman. It can also be used to represent any Ancient/High form of armor (Valheru, Solamnic ...). Alternate name: High Plate. It is made from a combination of adamantine and mithral, it is always considered heavy armor (no additinal qualities from mithral or adamantine).

So it's made of mithral and adamantine, but costs less than full plate made of either?

Hey, that High Plate is pretty niffty. Could it be further made of mithril or adamantite?

nope ... it's got some of each already ...

crgreathouse: hmm ... know what? that thought never even crossed my mind ... I thought of it as a hybrid alloy of the two ... not really having the benefits of either (or I was just trying to nerf the special materials ...)

so lets see ... 1/4 adamantine would be: +2,500 (of 10k) ... and 1/4 mithral would be +2,250 ... eek that's still more ... I haven't tinkered with it for a while, but I guess upping the total price up to 6.5k might be an idea.

the fluff ideas I had made this an very special form of armor, which no one remembers how to craft ...

[fluff] ... of this incredibly rare armor, no known suits are made of mithral, adamantine, or any other special material.[/fluff]

rules: High plate incurs double the price modifier if it is made out of special materials (+20k adamantine, +18k mithral).

that's my cheezee fix for ya ...
