New at this

Well this is my first try at making a map, any comments or pointers would be great.

Very nice! One thing, though. The "stream" in the upper right. Where does it go to or come from. The way the map is drawn it looks like theres this little streamlet that is in that spot for no particular reason...
just curious.

thanks for the compliments- yeah originally I painted water on the other side, like an underground lake was there, but it looked as if mass amounts of water were about to bust through. . .do you think if I had the stream continue off and fade it would look like just and underground stream?

Is the stream the way into the dungeon? I don't see any other entrances.

On the stream: If this were MY map (which I know it's not) I would either eliminate the stream entirely or have it meander in and out of a couple of rooms before cascading into the cavern that is in the room at the lower left. but thats me.
As far as an entrance goes, I assumed that the stair lookin' thing in the lower right was the way in...

Looks to me like the stairs go down and not up.

This is a work in progress. . .the stairs do go down, have not put the entrance steps in yet.
The stream bothers me more everytime i look at it, I like the idea of haveing it run and extend into other rooms, I also played with the idea of turing it into a pool of water - having the room partially flooded. Thanks for all the comments.
