I was interested, but... "Captain Elizabeth Lochley"? No thanks. That character was one of the reasons I heartily disliked season 5 of B5.

I found her much better in Crusade, where she could start fresh along with everyone else.

Agreed. I really think the trouble with her being in season 5 of B5 was that everybody knew she was just a stand-in for Ivanova, and we all missed Ivanova.

JMS to Write & Direct New 'Bab 5' Release
Direct to DVD
November 14, 2006

Warner Home Video has announced that Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Stracynski will write and direct Babylon 5: The Lost Tales, a direct-to-DVD release, which will include two new Babylon 5 stories collectively known as "Voices in the Dark" in one film. Production is slated to begin this month for a 2007 release and a number of actors from the original series including Bruce Boxleitner (President John Sheridan), Tracy Scoggins (Captain Elizabeth Lochley), and Peter Woodward (Galen) have signed on. The new production picks up several years after the events depicted in previous Babylon 5 releases and follows several of the saga's major characters in new adventures set against the background of the Babylon 5 universe.

Launched in February 1993, Babylon 5 enjoyed a five year run on television followed by five subsequent feature films. It has been extremely popular on video racking up over $44 million dollars in consumer sales.

Babylon 5 creator/Executive Producer J. Michael Stracynski is also very well known in the world of comic books -- he is currently writing Amazing Spider-Man, Squadron Supreme and the Bullet Points miniseries for Marvel, and was recently named as a "Guest of Honor" at the 2007 New York Comic Con (see "JMS, Marc Silvestri Named Guests of Honor").

I wonder how Galen is going to fit into all this?

`LE

I'll remain guardedly optimistic, especially after the kick to the nethers that was "Legend of the Rangers."

Maybe they can address the plotline that got cut short when TNT decided to deep-six Crusade, since Galen is going to be involved.
