JMS has got a deal to write and direct several stand-alone anthologies. Production begins in September, to be released in 2007. They'll touch on characters in the B5 Universe, will be an hour long, and that's about all I know.

Apparently, according to this article, JMS solda script to Ron Howard, and as a result has a little more pull these days.

Meh. The Talkbacks on AICN are never worth reading, and are rarely representative of the reaction of the fanbase as a whole.

With luck this will get him off of Marvel comics so maybe one day I can read Spidey or FF again.

I'm a huge B5 fan, but I think JMS should have left that universe alone after the end of the original series. I'll wait until these are really available - an announced release date does not guarantee they'll ever be made - and until I hear some viewer reviews before I decide if I want to see them.

I certainly hope that this all comes off as announced. I'd love to see a movie detailing the Telepath War, or the aftermath with the Drakh or Vir's rule and the future of the Centauri Empire, or .. or.. or..
