New book covers @ Amazon

I suspect that warlocks are going to do well out of Dragon Magic and Complete Mage both.

Actually, I have a question for Ari - and any other authors who might be peeking into this thread: What do you think of the covers for your products?

Oh, here's something else fun:

I like the mirrored poses.

Well I'd suspect it was intentional mh. But you are right, Dragon Magic and Complete Mage will probably "upgrade" Warlocks some more.

So far, I've been pretty pleased with the covers for the various WotC books I've worked on. I think my favorites so far are Tome of Magic and Frostfell Rift, but Cityscape pretty close behind. The others, while not as impressive, certainly work well enough. (I wasn't originally all that taken with the cover for Heroes of Horror when I saw it in a catalog, but it grew on me quick once I actually saw it at "full" size.)

Uhm it is? Or you talking about something else Whiz?

Ari,

Any other books you've worked on who's covers you really liked? *also like Cityscape*

Hmm...

The Doom of Listonshire, for one. Hamunaptra. Dawnforge.

To a slightly lesser extent, but still up there, Shadows Under Thessalaine and The Hero Snare. Oh, and the three Serpent Amphora modules.

Heh. It might've been faster to ask me what I didn't like. ;)

(Not listing most of the WW/SSS books, since so many of them didn't have pictures, per se, on the cover.)

And who says happy, smiling fiends died with Planescape... ;)

Chalk me up as another who's happy that WotC is showing some love for adventures again. Ravenloft by Bruce Cordell should rock.

I've thought about it some.

I really like the cover of Complete Mage - not just because of the mirrored pose with Complete Arcane, but also because I like the figure. She's a good example of a creepy necromancerish mage that doesn't fit the Gothic stereotype.

It's not on his website, but I'm assuming Matt Cavotta did this one as well. Very nice work!

The cover of Cityscape looks great.

None of the covers really blow me away, but I do like that one.

That interior art for "Faiths of Eberron" really looks awesome. I only wish there was a bigger picture of it on the WotC site. The art in Eberron has been some of my favorite in an RPG.
