New Campaign (yay!): Warlock or Knight?

The knight is in the Player's Handbook 2, and it is pretty cool, although some of the abilities are a little wonky at first look. I may tweak some abilities with Houserules.

Both are fine choices. Note that warlocks can be good (Even exalted) as long as they are chaotic good. Note also that the Complete Mage book gives a "good guy" prestige class specifically for warlocks (lots of celestial flavor), as well as warlock friendly feats like the Fey Heritage line.

Warlock, especially if you have access to some of the newer Invocations. IMO, the Knight is sub-par. Their Code of Conduct is ridiculous, Knight's Challenge is bland and uninspiring, and all in all, they don't seem to have much going for them except for maybe Shield Ally. Its a poor attempt to convert a MMORPG style tank class for D&D.

Is it true that there are more invocations out there than listed in The Complete Arcane? Where?

It sounds like I get to go for the warlock. Glee! :]
Here's my concept:

I imagine a Peter-Lorre-esque "academic" diabolist (he likes to think of himself as "a scholar in planar affairs") who happens to be ragingly schizophrenic. Meaning that at the drop of a stressful situation he becomes posessed by an arch-duke of hell and begins to lob infernal fire at anything that moves and demand unflinching loyalty from his simpering companions.

I mean, sounds like fun, right?

5th level? Cha monkey? Combat type? Try Ftr 2 / Pal 2 / Kt 1. Aim for Ftr 2 / Pal 4 / Kt 2 then go Divine Crusader.
Hmmm... Your ideas do intrigue me, though it does look like Warlock is the way I'm going. This build might just be my backup character.
