New car for gamecat

Svt

I've got a 2004 Ford Focus SVT 4dr in Pitch Black, Euro Appearance package, all leather with Recaro Racing seats, 6 disc Audiophile changer, etc.

It's a 6 speed, 2.0 litre, FWD, 190 hp beast. It's fast. And it's a hatch. I have a ton of cargo room, and with my Thule roof rack can get all three of our bikes on a trip.

It's my most favorite car I've ever owned...and I had an 89 Toyota Supra Turbo.

"Yeah, Focus...you go girl."

I hear what your saying. I was saying the same thing...until I drove it.

What you driving? Assuming you're at the helm of a Miata, i always thought they were awesome drift cars, having RWD, decent power, and no weight...
2005 RX-8, 6-speed.

True 50-50 weight ratio - she hugs the corners like a snake!

Oh man, that's the car I want! I can't bring myself to test drive one, because I know it'll make me want it even more. :( I love my little 2002 Protege ES, but I really want an RX-8!

What color do you have? I really like the dark blue ones.

Yeah - it was the same for me. I didn't test drive it until I was sure that I was ready to buy, and sure enough, I ordered her after that drive!

I liked the Blue Metallic a lot, but ended choosing the Brilliant Black with the black interior. Harder to keep clean yes, but she looks awesome when clean!

Rx-8

I really loved the one I test drove...if it hadn't been red, I probably would have made the plunge. It was a gently used (less than 10k) fully loaded at a dealer...

I was loathe to spend an extra $10k on a car though...

Happy with my choice. Made moving a lot easier. Plus, insurance is definitly cheaper!

;)

But I'll probably pick up an RX-8 as my next car...

RX-8s are so awesome. Those front fenders make it resemble a predatory cat. If i ever run d20 modern, the BBEG's gonna drive an RX-8.

My Z's got some issues. The electrical kind - my rear running lights don't work. I've replaced every fuse and bulb, so that means i need to pull apart a wiring relay and figure it out from there.

Not sure about the "chick magnet" factor - the car's older than I! That said, it looks like it's 1986 inside it, she's in perfect condition. I should grow a mullet and listen to Duran Duran exclusively.
 I was about to say -- it would have been a chick magnet when I was in high school. I used to know; I used to tool around with one of my best friends in his 280ZX.

I always did like the styling update to the 300 ZX style front end, though.

I'm not really a fan of the RX8. I'm not sure I like the styling. Plus the rotary drive doesn't get the greatest mileage (at least not as good as you would expect) and it burns oil. I'd take a Z over it.

The car I really want is an STi. Those things are insane.

I've been drooling over S2000s lately.

Fast as hell and uncomfortable as hell. It doesn't sound like a Honda at all - it growls. I'm 6' 1" and can just about squeeze into it. It doesn't like bumpy streets but get in on a long highway on-ramp and you can hit 8k+. Fun.

Eww. I hate the styling of the Z32 300Zx. In 1989 the Z car died, cause they offed the long-nose swept-back-cab look. In the Z32's defense though, that car simply hauls ass (320 horsepower in USDM spec, compared with the Z31's 200), having DOHC heads as well as a twin turbo option, compared with the SOHC single turbine option on the Z31.

Now the 350Z, im not as fanatic about either. It looks like a New Beetle that recieved a gigantic shot of adrenaline and realized it had a mild Z heritage.

It's all about stylin', baby.
