Now, some of my math may be a bit off. please let me know or any thoughts on spell, skill or feat selection starting out or as the character levels would be much appreciated.

As far as the barebones mechanics goes, there's a few issues. There's something up with your Dex. You've got it at 14, which should give you a straight +2 dex mod across the board to relevant traits (your AC has a +2 dex modifier and your init mod is +2, so they're good. However, your ranged (including touch) attack bonus and Ref save bonus should both be +2. Your falchion, as a two-handed weapon, does 1 and a half times your Str bonus (so that should be +4). The hide armor makes your speed 20 ft but only has a -3 check penalty. CMD should be 15 (+3 str, +2 dex).

On the skills, I'm not sure how you got your Survival to +12, even with nature sense it should only be +9 (1 rank + 3 training +3 wis +2 nature's bond). You have 5 skill points, so you have an additional skill point to spend (I would recommend on Handle Animal). You'll need it for your animal companion to teach him tricks. Knowledge (nature) should be +7 (+2 nature sense, 1 rank, +3 training, +1 int). Wild Empathy should be +2 (+1 druid level, +1 cha).

You also need to pick and stat out your animal companion.
 

Thank you both, specially jim for checking the numbers. Generally speaking I want to go in the direction of the Spirit of the Beast as Treatmonk labeled it. Leaning towards toughness, dodge, or spell focus(conjuration). For animal companion I was thinking a riding dog, or wolf heading my list, but am open to suggestions. the raptor is pretty much off the table as it doesn't fit the campaign.
