That's thematically cool, but it feel like it exacerbates the berserker's existing tanking problem. Why should anyone want to keep hitting the character who's resistant to damage and gets retaliatory effects? It feels like really you want to do provide the inverse sort of effect, because it's already so beneficial for the berserker to get hit (relatively to any other attack target) because of rage.
Well, the berserker is not resistant to all kinds of damages, at least not right off the bat.
Being hit and damaged it always risky and taxing, not sustainable in the long term. Retaliation to be useful requires the berserker to go in melee against the target, and mobile targets would require him to move around, potentially leaving his companions open for attacks and himself surrounded.
If the enemies have some similar damage sponge, or something that can counter in a different fashion his retaliation attacks, the advantage can be reduced or nullified.
