New Classes and Others

The Gambler has been updated to have all 30 levels of powers.

Anybody want to comment on any of the classes?

In a way, I feel that cards, dice and coins should be implements. Using them as weapons is absurd. And yet, they are so well thought out (I don't know about balanced) that they could be a lot of fun to use.

One small error: "Drawing a Joker allows you to choose your
damage dice from the list." "Joker 2d10". One of those two statements is incorrect.

What recommendations do you have for paragon paths? Are there any that Wizards has released that are thematically appropriate?

Joker allows you to choose your damage, but it also allows you to selected to use 2d10 as your damage die.

And the gaming tools work as implements multiple times throughout the class, but it felt like a fun idea to have them function as unique weapons as well.

For Paragon Paths, I'm working on developing 3 or 4 right now. Any suggestions you'd like to make?

Gambler has been updated again. Now with three paragon paths. Additionally, I changed the class features a bit. Based on some suggestions on the wizards board, I've taken the 19th level daily Winning Streak and made it into a whole cloth class feature.

The first version that I've seen of this, cards, coins, dice and slots were used as implements, and it made more sense to do so. Not only that, the two mastery class skills were pretty well thought out.

Otherwise, I don't really have anything to say about this gambler. I haven't read it fully yet. I've only lightly glanced over it, and noticed that there are too many similarities to LordNat's gambler to be coincidence. After I'm done fully looking at your take on it, I'll post again.

I for one really like this class. I might not include it in the "core classes" that I'd offer in my campaigns, but I can really see it's use in certain types of high fantasy campaigns. Good job, FF6Shadow!

If Lord Nat feels there's a problem, he may produce evidence and turn it over to Morrus or the moderating staff of EN World directly.

Until that occurs, we consider the matter closed.

The Gambler is considered finished. Additionally, I've started work on an arcane leader, currently unamed.

If you have any suggestions, ideas, or critiques on my classes, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

This goes double for the newest work in progress.

Reviewed Dreadnaught

I looked over Dreadnaught and was impressed. The powers seem balanced and the class abilities are uniquely different from other classes. The layout was extremely clean, clear, and even color coded.

Some minor quibles:
You should pick one "role" since each one has a specific hit point total linked to it. If you don't think "Defender" accurately describes your character you should create a new one like "Brawler" or "Vanguard"

I don't understand what a "Save Maintain" is and the description was exceedingly vague.

Under "Dreadnaught Tactics" you do not clarify that each is actual a different class build. Your phrasing can be interpreted that the dreadnaught can switch back and forth between Unstoppable Onslaught and Furious Storm at will.

Glad you liked it.

As for the double role, looking over every class in the PHB, each class has a single role listed. Unlisted however, every class (save maybe wizard and rogue) has a particular tendency towards a secondary role..

[sblock]Class - - Role - - Secondary
Cleric - Leader - Controller
Fighter - Defender - Striker
Paladin - Defender - Leader
Ranger - Striker - Defender(TWF)/Controller(Archer)
Warlock - Striker - Controller
Warlord - Leader - Defender[/sblock]

The secondary role entry is just telling you where you can make do if you have to. The Dreadnought can stand on the fron line and block enemies for a few moments if he has to.

And HP isn't linked directly to role. See the Barbarian. Striker role, Defender HP.

I clarified the Save Maintains a little bit. Should be easier to read now.

I did clarify the Dreadnought tactics section and updated the PDF. Thanks.
