I have. I'm not one for replication. But it's hard not to notice that people at wikipedia seem to have declared war on DnD related pages. Some stuff like articles on Full Frontal Nerdity have already been destroyed.Morrus said:Nah, just the work involve in getting it physically installed, working, and integrated properly into EN World. You've seen how long just upgrading the boards takes!
Other pages, like a lot of Eberron related stuff [edit: example, another example, yet another example] has been tagged for destruction.
Which is insane since their notability requirement requires that something be "cited in a printed magazine" or something and Eberron has been written about in just about everything, heck there are reviews, of books and video games set in \Eberron which should techinically be secondary sources (or tertitary?).
But, apparently, when the ruling clique decides that someting isn't cool they can just delete it and hours of work by people (not me, incidentally, at best I fix grammar here and there) is gone.
I'd prefer that wikipedia just accept that it's an online resource and geeks use it instead of trying to predend it's some sort of haven for pipe smoking intellectuals but since it looks like it could be heading down the tubes...
EnWorld has a strong "brand" as an independent site and destination for gamers, it'd be a good alternative if wikipedia really decides to go "delete all" on "uncool topics".
[edit: I'm not saying that the library of alexadria is burning because some jerk is deleting pages on shifters, but they represent an asset to the community and work by members of the community that ought to be preserved. Again, wikipedia would be idea, but if they're hellbent on destroying information then that info should probably be saved and put up somewhere (to my mind anyway).]
