No problem; I feel confident that you'll enjoy the product. If you get a chance, go to the website and sign the guest book. Also, if you send us a digital photo (via email) of your gaming group using the product, I'll post it on the website.

Hey Duncan.

No distributer in Australia yet, but I will check into the shipping costs from the US and let you know something before the end of the week. Go to the website under "Contact Us" and click on "Email Us", and forward your email address to me.

Thanks,

Tracer
I just cannot seem to find a way to ship merchandise to you without facing tariffs and brokerage fees that are sure to double the price of the product. I have a sneaky plan, though; send me an email through the website and I'll let you know my devious little plan.

Hey everyone, now that Christmas is over, and some of you got some Tact-Tiles from Santa, I wanted to get some feedback on how you like the product.

You can leave a response here, or send it directly through the website.

Thanks everyone and Happy New Year.

Well ask and you shall recieve...

My wife got me the 12 tile set for X-mas. I have used them in several of my weekly games already, and have a second set of 12 on order already. :D (what can I say, I like big maps and lots of options)

My entire group was very impressed with them and all gave them a thumbs up after the first use.

Several of my other gaming budies had seen the ads in Dragon and thought they sounded cool.

I'll be taking them to a game with a diffrent group tomorrow, and also will be using them for a game I'm running at DunDraCon (convention in Northern CA) in Feb.

The only downside I have found is it can be easy to erase part of lines with your hands or minis during the game.

On the upside the inserts that were included do a good job of keeping maps in good shape once drawn out and put between tiles. Which allows me to pre draw at home, package and pull out ready to go at the game.

I'll still use the battle mat for the big out door encouters that there is no line of sight issues, but for dungeons (Like Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil) where the party gets one room at a time and some times has to run back the way they came they are great.

Big thumbs up from me as well.

As JDragon said, lines tend to come off pretty easily. This is a good thing though in my opinion. You can easily erase whatever you want with just your finger, and it doesn't get messy because it is dry erase.

If you want to pre-draw your map, and are worried about it getting smudged, just leave it out over night and make sure you use the spacers. Leaving it out will make the lines a little harder to get off, but not so hard that you can't remove them without a little light scrubbing.

Because it's dry erase, we even use the tiles for large outdoor encounters. They're just more convenient that the wet erase maps.

I can't imagine playing on a megamat again (except for outdoors, I like Hex). Even for outdoors, I heard they're coming out with Hex soon. I can't wait!

I really like pre-drawing a dungeon and revealing it one tile at a time (10" x 10"). Really speeds up the game. And when they reach the end of the map, I just pick up old tiles (no longer in use), erase, and move to where they are going. Works great! Haven't found accidental erasing to be a problem. Typically there is enough left of a line to re-draw. Really sturdy product. :)

Just waiting for my set now.

Hopefully they can get them shipped before Foundation Con, but we'll see. If not, I'll still have them for d20 Modern.

Huh. Cool thread resurrection... one that might well be useful to some people :)

Tracer: I received mine way back in January, and when I introduced them to my gaming group, they were interested but not all that impressed. Until they started using them, and we started moving bits of the board around underneath the minis. We hate using the old mats so much that I just leave the tiles at our host's house now, so I don't forget them :) They are superbly awesome.

(The big selling point for me was actually the dry-erasability. I hate wet-erase markers, and they never quite completely come off of battlemats without tossing alcohol down. But the modularity certainly helped the sale :)
