I could be standing in an echo chamber

Just to add my 2 cents worth. I bought KoK because of what was inside it. Personally, I don't look for the D&D logo OR the D20 logo. With Kenzer, I now buy all that they produce because they've consistently proven that each product is of high quality and worth the purchase whether I use them now or later. I've not quite found that yet with some other publishers. The other thing that I really like about Kenzer is the high exposure and involvement they have in their discussion boards. And they're not there just to answer questions, they ask them too. Like, what do we as the consumers want them to produce over the next year. And we responded, giving them probably more than they bargained for
. To me, that's important. That they listen to us and try to give us what we want. I know there are some other publishers that do the same, but the combination of quality product and good customer relations (for want of a better term) is why I DM in Kalamar. And yes, I agree, if they have the distinction of being officially licensed and paid for it, then advertise it. There are some people out there who will only purchase 'official' product. I hope more people who've not seen the KoK Campaign Source book will pick up the Player's Guide and see what a great setting it is.
Just to add my tuppence… I bought KoK because of what was inside it. Personally, I don't look for the D&D logo OR the D20 logo. With Kenzer, I now buy all that they produce because they've consistently proven that each product is of high quality and worth the purchase whether I use them now or later (or never!)...
Do you get the idea? Word for word what I feel. Thanks Roxann!!
And as for the Player's Guide, well, I'm cross I didn't manage to play test it like the majority of the players in this board, but then I only rediscovered D&D a year ago, and I had little idea when I first got into back into it that d20, 3E, OGC, SRD, OGL etc. ad nauseam, was going to be such a great big deal. Like I say, I do buy loads of d20 stuff from all sorts of publishers, but if, for some bizarre reason, someone told me I could only ever buy Kenzer books again, you know what -- I wouldn't be that unhappy! Of course, this is a personal opinion, but I happen to know that the chaps/chappesses at Kenzer (well, Kalamar branch, anyway) seem to have it so on the button of what I'm looking for in role-playing games and the Kingdoms have so much to offer in terms of intrigue, areas, politics, fashion -- add to that mix, new variant classes, new prestige classes, new feats and new everything that fits in with that setting, as well as people on board such as Ed Greenwood to make an entire campaign setting out of a single city (thank you, thank you, worship, worship) -- I reckon I'll be exploring Kalamar until the day I grow up... which I hope, incidentally, is also the day I die.
So to quote GrimJesta (I think): I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait...
And just to express it all succintly: I don't look for the D&D or d20 symbol on products I have to buy: I look for the KoK! [Hmm, OK, that probably looks better written than it sounds spoken...]
Dunx.
