D&D 3E/3.5 New D&D System based on 3.5

First Post
I've been playing D&D for 7 years, since the time that D&D 3.0 version first came out. I love D&D and have written a journal up to 210 pages long, single-spaced, about my favorite character that I played for 5 years straight. I am also an English Teacher and I share my adventures with my students sometimes when they've behaved well and finished their work early.
But I noticed a lot of strange things with D&D 4.0 that I did not like. So, I spent 6 months creating my own version of D&D that improved the 3.5 version. A lot of people still like 3.5 and I felt that it did not need to be trashed, it simply needed adjustments. So I made my own system that you might find interesting. Please go to my website. It's absolutely free and very entertaining. I hope you like it. Click the link below.

I think you've complicated what is essentially a feat-based system by adding masteries instead of using feats. I think you should look at games like True20 and the Anime d20 SRD to see how feat or point-buy systems can work.

Cheers.

Masteries

If you look closer at the offensive masteries, they actually allow players to do many things that they were not allowed to do before. Examples include disabling arms or legs, getting the chance to make attacks of opportunity in unusual situations, and other interesting things. The defensive masteries allow things not possible such as regeneration, blocking attacks with your weapon, dodging attacks with reflex saves, and blocking/dodging spells, and etc. Other masteries provided you with bonuses based upon your character's personality and you had the power to decide where your saves and other statistics are distributed. The masteries give players more freedom.
This system is not about what class you choose, but more about what type of character you want to play. The masteries let you truly shape your character. D&D has always had the "perfect builds" or best classes to choose. But my game is not like that. You could play 10 characters with the same classes, but they will be completely different due to the selection of masteries. Feats were never that influencial. And you had to choose the "best" feats or have a bad character.
My game has been play-tested locally by many people and they have liked it. I was simply waiting until the website was fully finished and revised before advertising. Most people who are making comments haven't tried the game yet. I say give it a shot, one session. If after play-testing it, you still think it's bad, then tell me why. Give me specific reasons, don't just say that "it's bad".
