New Druid Spells

Mindcrime

First Post
Here are some new druid spells - they haven't been playtested yet, so feedback is, of course, very welcome.

They are:

Adjust Environment - drastically alter air pressure, local gravity, humidity and temperature.

Flash Flood - just that

Habitat Shift - make aquatic creatures terrestrial and vice versa

Permanent Season - only one season exists in a designated area, permanently

Logan's Mutation - "polymorph" lite

Transmute Disease to Vermin - a reprint of an earlier new spell

Hi!

All spells look good - only one remark:

compared with icestorm, flash flood seems way overpowered for spell-level 4. make it 5 or 6 and i am ok with it.

Change habitat seemed odd at first glance but really is a cool spell.

Thanks for the feedback guys :)

Dougal, I was afraid Flash Flood might be a bit too strong, but your remark just confirmed it my head. I'll update the PDF tonight with the revised stats.

the permanent season spell is really cool, but the description is kind of weird. The area is 20 ft + 5ft/level and the spell is eighth level which means that a 15th level druid could cast it creating 95 ft of season. The question is...

is that a radius of 95 feet or a total area of 95 sq feet?

if it is the radius than fine, great spell, if not it would affect an area smaller than most bathrooms. a square 10'x10' could not even be completley changed.

btw if the radius is the ruling, a 15th level druid would be permanently affecting 28352 sq feet of land.

Flash Flood definately needs to have its level raised by 1. Also, the Reflex save should probably be a standard DC for that spell lvl(ie 10 + spell lvl + ability modifier) instead of a fixed 25.

These are really cool spells. I'm going to use Permanent Season for sure, and I love the imagery of Transmute Disease to Vermin! (though the name is a bit clumsy... it'd be neat to think of a less clinical name).

hmm, i agree with this. For an eighth-lvl-spell, wouldn't it be easier to rule that the spell "affects the druids territory"? I mean, the spell is meant for druids that stay at a place, right? Just pondering...

Well, my original intention for permanent season was to affect a radius of 20 ft + 5 ft/level - the volume of that space would be sort of a 'gimme'.

I'm rethinking the area of effect/xp cost as I write this...
