My apologies for the side-tracking. I really wish I could find a better way of integrating the elements and energy types in a geometrical model (particularly a hexahedral model) but nothing occurs to me!

My handle can mean various things. The most basic meaning is that of a palm-reader. IIRC the better -mancer names were already chosen when I signed up. I don't know anything about palmistry in real life, so this meaning is not very illuminating.
A slightly more elaborate meaning interprets the "cheiro" as the greek letters chi (which looks exactly like X) and rho (which looks exactly like P); "-mancy" refers to prophecy or magic. I'm a DM, so I calculate and grant XP. I'm an XP-mancer. (Actually I have players level up when I feel the time is right- but that's almost the same thing.)
Note that with regard to the other -mancer words, usually any kind of prophetic aspect is gone. A pyromancer deals with fire magic, but doesn't really predict the future using fire. A necromancer deals with death magic, but doesn't (usually) call on the spirits of the dead in order to tell the feature. An oneiromancer does interpret dreams though, and may get hints about future events from them.
