Bladesinger as a base class. Nuf said.

I hate to agree with Drowbane, as he and I are currently in the same gaming group and he will by my DM in a couple days. But, alas, I fear I must.
Oh, the pain.

P.S. I voted for Sorcerer.

Sorcerer would seem to make much more sense for the charismatic elves than poring through musty tomes in a library. Sorcerer has much more of an elven feel as part of the casters nature rather than something that is learned.

...I knew Duskblade would get a ton of votes, despite all of the flavor text saying that they are a relatively rare group within elven society.

Duskblades cause kabooms when they hit with their swords. I don't find that very elvish. I think of elves as scrying, casting true strike, and the usual wizardy stuff. But I think they could definitely use a Cha bias, and magic is supposed to be second nature to them, so I voted sorcerer. Just say no to elves with Cha as a dump stat.

Since elves are immune to sleep, I sometimes like to brainstorm about them having a fusion of fey and dragon ancestry.

When does the next poll go up? Will it be for Gnomes, Halflings, Half-Orcs, Half-Elves, Humans?
Hmmm, it does seem like time to get the next one up. Going alphabetically, it'll be Gnomes. I'll post it up in the next 20 mintues, hopefully :D

cheers,

Heh, choosing was a little tougher in this poll. I like the elf for a great many classes, chiefly - wizard, druid, ranger, scout.

I finally chose Ranger. ;)

The problem I have with Ranger is that if an elf drops a single level into Ranger, who can tell? A Ranger's unique class features don't really kick in until 2nd and 4th levels. A favored class should be something that if an important NPC drops a single level into it, you really see the results.

Not quite sure about Duskblades. What does a single level in Duskblade get you?

"You seek our tomes, our libraries, young wizard? You want to learn our secrets? Then shed your narrow ideas of book. For ages, we have lived in forests. Defended them. Taken care of them. And encouraged certain structures. Ah, I see the glimmer of understanding... No, but you are close. Every leaf is a sentence. Every branch, a chapter. Every tree is at least a single book. If we are afraid to lose this wealth to fires? About as much as you are afraid to lose your books to fires. Though every tree is unique, their contents can be found on other trees as well. Yet, we fight for every tree, as every tree is worth fighting for. Portability? What for?"
