New Epic Destinies

Very cool, especially the Thief of Legend being able to steal "sighs from lovestruck maidens."

What is a poor maiden to do?

But I'm still hunting for an Epic Destiny for my Unity Avenger. (Sigh)

Always gotta bear in mind that the early link version that people find by guessing and the compiled version are often a little different. It is quite possible all those EDs will be nerfed prior to being officially published.

Ayup, these EDs are neat, I like the fluff, but they're WAY above the power level of even the best existing EDs from what I can see.

I get the feeling that there is a lot of epic level playtesting going on. Greg Bilsland had a good article on his blog that discussed changes to monster damage in epic, and the inability of epic monsters to effectively deal with status effects.

My play experience thus far has been limited to heroic and paragon, but I am pretty optimistic that the epic level experience will be improved.

Find by guessing? Not sure I follow. Wizards posts the article on their site. I click on the link and its there. No guesswork.

Edit: Here's the link to the article summary with the link to the full article

Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game Official Home Page - Article (Heroes of Legend Reborn)
If you go to "View Current Issue" many times there will be grayed out article names. WotC knows what the article is about but has not officially published it yet. If you take the article name you can usually guess the URL. This allows you to see the articles before they are officially released. And, more to the point, officially edited by WotC.

CharOp does this all the time, and indeed many of the third-party authors that write these articles frequent CharOp and immediately self-edit themselves if CharOp says something is overpowered.

Definitely something odd going on though. The "new issue" is still Dragon 387. Normally it would've switched over by now, and this article shouldn't be in the RSS feed yet.

I don't follow. This article appears in the content calendar for yesterday, and it is linked directly from the D&D home page.

Wow, Draconic Incarnation is broke wide open if you ask me. Its neat, but it makes Demigod look anemic. OK, you killed me, now I'm at full hit points, have phasing and insubstantial, haha!
But if you use an area of effect blast to chunky salsa my original body (or deliberately go up to it and do so) I am dead, even though my dragon will stick around a while.

That is a downside. Depends on the enemies willingness to capitalise on it, but I know my dragon-spirit would not be leaving the body behind.
