Scentless [General]
You give off less of an odor than other creatures of your kind making you harder to track by scent.
Benefit: Anyone trying to track you by scent takes takes a -10 penalty.

Is this Feat too powerful, just right or too weak?

Also I want to introduce an item called Scent Masker that reproduces the same effect (except with a -6 penatly) for a 2 hour duration per application (like an oil). What do you think I should price it at?

The item would come in particularly handy for rogues attempting to enter a compound guarded by dogs. Based on other alchemical substances maybe DC 25 to make, 50gp to buy.

Would you suggest something more powerful (-15 or more) or something else in addition that fits with the same style (but what that would be I can't think of).

I think the issue on the feat is that it is of very limited use. However that may be campaign specific. If in your campaign you have many prominent creatures using scent or a major race with the ability then it becomes more useful. Statwise it is probably ok especially if you imagine it will get a lot of use, which based on the fact you felt you needed to create it, it will.

It's being introduced with a new race who has the ability to track by scent. I also changed it to be more powerful due to it's narrow use:

Scentless [General]
You give off absolutely no noticeable odor making you harder to track by scent.
Prerequisites: Must be taken at 1st level.
Benefit: Anyone trying to track you by scent takes takes a -20 penalty.

I think that -20 seems a good way to go with that. Making it the equivelant of invisibility, with the exception that you can't put ranks in it to improve it, of course.

I say that adding some other benefit would be important, because even with a huge penalty (like -20) to tracking by scent, I still can't see anyone taking it except under the most extreme of circumstances. You could also halve the distance at which the character could be detected by scent, and maybe add a penalty to normal Track checks as well, although significantly less (say, -2) since (in my mind, anyway) even a human tracker uses his sense of smell to some extent.

And how would one go about "acquiring" a scentlent body? This seems much more of a trait-like thing to me, as opposed to a learned skill.

You are born with it, hence taken at first level.

Revised:
Scentless [General]
You give off absolutely no noticeable odor making you harder to track by scent.
Prerequisites: Must be taken at 1st level.
Benefit: Anyone trying to track you by scent takes takes a -20 penalty and must make Survival checks twice as often (every ½ mile) to continue following your trail. In addition anyone trying to track you by normal means takes a -2 penalty.
