So I've pretty much been running off any '24 DnD materials, including expansion content: Astarion's, Faerun, etc..

What new feats have gotten creative juices flowing? Any synergy? DMs rebranding setting specifics?... constructive ideas please, though feel free to mention nonbos if anyone idea does not work RAW

I will start a subclasses that feels much more unique with expanded feats, there is more to the character, some suboptimal.. but I will try to paraphrase.

Half-orc, Champion, "gambler", Origin: Lord's Alliance, GWM, Purple Dragon commandant. Greataxe, longbow mastery. Plays loose with life, so spends plenty of time "bloodied" with advantage, strong at range with 🏹 fighting style, cleave is good (doesn't even take bonus), advantage on attack when ally struck, crit synergy to gift insp once per turn, bonus action temp hp if you are not felling someone or critting. Between cleave and bonus action attack granted from critting or "cherrypicking" stacking advantage and soon to be inspiration every round, that is nearing 2 weapon fighting amounts of crit shots... with a greataxe (cleave being conditional nick & GWM being conditional bonus attack). I love the crit synergy with the new feat and the easy conditional advantage.

The monk in my 2024 game has been having a blast with a combination of grappler and the new street justice feat from the FR books. Her character was always more of a brawler than a martial artist so the feat support for easy grappling in combat is going well for her.
I love this one too. + RP flavor in restraining.. lets make some mage-hunting, bounty-hunting martials! It also works really well in tandem.. as I've seen a few of these feats are more team combo platters. Potentially, you can have a team up, you grapple, my rogue sleight of hands you with manacles

Also, headlock rules

One that popped into my head instantly upon reading it was the Cold Caster feat on an Elements monk. Default to cold damage with your hits, and choose cold when using the level 6 AoE to better the chances of enemies failig the saving throw and taking the full damage instead of half.

Would that also just improve all your bonus action attempts at imposing conditions after plain old cold attuned strikes?.. cause monk has plenty of those too

Also, another feat that can tandem up so nicely with others.. if you just want to beat face and give a nod to the party control master

2nd better realized build.

Human, Zealot + Fighter. Origin: Tireless Reveler, tough. Dueling fighting style. Bloodlust feat. Durable feat. Periapt of wound closure for double HD heals. Pretty fun, chose a build less reliant on 100% reckless attack. Between +2 dmg from dueling fighting style, Zealot strike, and rage boost, the 1 handed dmg output is surprisingly good. eHP is high on this one, allows more wiggle room to sacrifice reckless advantage to try for brutal strikes. Multiple HD reliant heals are nice with d12 being doubled. One can occur with attack and one can occur on bonus action. Or the Zealot's heal. Or 2nd wind. You can tell I grew tired of begging for healing with this one 😉
