New Format for Spells in Revised Core Books?

If you like psionics, the material is already in print.

Adding psionics takes away from the pure magic of D&D.

No psionics wins.

A very simplistic argument. Doesn't prove a thing, just like Wormwood's argument.

Cheers!

I don't understand this. It's like the word 'Psionics' just makes people irrationally angry. If they called it "Channeling" and said it was another mechanic magic, it suddenly fits D&D?

Just because it's in the book, it doesn't mean that you have to use it. It seems incredibly selfish to quelch support for psionics on a purely aesthetic basis. I could say the same about how stupid alignment is. The bottom line is that neither one is so integral to the game mechanics that it can't be marginalized.
