New Gnome Look

One would think that Shifter and Warforged will end up in the Eberron book. But who knows?

A Goliath Barbarian and a Gnome Shaman would be my best hopes.

Though she really does look like a Shifter.....

The Monster Manual Gnome really looks like a more "woodsy" Gnome while this other model of the Gnome looks more "earthy."

I have to say, I prefer the "earthy" Gnome by a large margin, and likewise I want my badger minions! :)

It's another part of the 4e upgrade. "Why use the name Gnome (or, Lamia) if the creature created has no real relation to what came before."

As I've mentioned before, 4e's gnome seems more the Forest Gnome that was small and could disappear, as opposed to shall we say the "arcane" gnome that was all about inspiration and illusion. Tinker Gnomes in various stages of comedic capability have also abounded.

The 4e gnome was obviously created as an encounter (not "monster" per se) as opposed to a major player race that affects things on the world stage.
