Angel Tarragon
Dawn Dragon
Beguiler seems the natural choice.

Something a lot of people don't understand about first edition is that the lack of 8th and 9th level spells for clerics, druids, and illusionists was not a penalty - it was a bonus. Maze is a 5th level spell for an illusionist, yet an 8th level spell for a magic user. That means an illusionist gets it at 9th level vs 15th for a magic user. plus there were some spells a plain 'ol wizard NEVER got like alter reality. The illusionist may not be to everyone's taste, but it was FAR from a waste of time. In fact, I'd bet it ranks as one of the most favorite classes among old school AD&D players.
I'd have voted for Beguiler if it had a Lore ability...Frukathka said:Beguiler seems the natural choice.

You're right, I was too. And I agree, that's a bit harsh (especially coming from someone who happens to like Birthright).Wyrm Pilot said:you're dissing Birthright.![]()
