Why bother rolling a new die, when the actual number of the D20 can be reused? I think a rather elegant hit location system (for D&D 3.5, but adaptable) is:
9-Left leg
8-Right leg
7-Left arm
6-Right arm
5-Left hand
4-Right hand
3-Chest
2-Waist
1-Head
0-Throat/Crotch (whichever you want to use)
Take the "ones" number from the d20 you use to roll for hitting. A (natural) roll of 7 or 17 would indicate left arm. A roll of 11 that hits is a headshot.
Lower rolls are less likely to hit so hits are concentrated on arms and legs. Natural 1 and 20 have special meanings, so locations 0 and 1 come up even less often. On threats use the result of the confirmation roll instead.

I've actually used d20s to simulate d10s myself. Here's how I did it: a 1 or an eleven would be a 1. A 10 or a 20 would be a 10. Any other number that rolled up would be a 2, 3, 4, etc. And if it was a number like say 17, it would be a 7.

Code tags are your best bet, as they switch you to fixed-width font and preserve spacing.
