New Human-raised Half-Elven Favoured Class?

Okay, I am now on the home strech, or so I thought... until I realised that there would likely be a big difference between a half-elf or half orc raised by their human or orc/elven parents in regards to favoured classes.

So, in light of that point, I am presenting this segment of "New Favoured Class" polls in a different manner - having two polls for each half-race in the core rulebook. One for it's human side, and one for it's elven side.

Please, choose carefully

I would liek to add that I didn't include that as an option when making this poll. I personally think that only humans really should/would have that to their advantage, and that half-elves would fit into human society as a sort of diplomat (rogue or bard comes to mind) rather than anywhere. Same with half-orc, but more of an outsider than that even (fighter or rogue liekly, with orcs being mroe barbaric than that even).

YMMV, of course.

Personally, I voted Bard, although both Rogue and Beguiler seemed like equally good choices. Here's why:

Bards seem charismatic, and thus they get along with everyone; half-elves receive bonus to this and thus it all seems like a good fit IMO. Beguilers might work for the outcast half-elf trying to 'fit in' with society, or just trying to stay away from it; but that outcast image is too hard for a race spawned by the elves - which are generally good (CG, actually, of course). Rogue, while attractive as well, didn't seem to fit the niche the bard sneaks into. While a rogue can be a party's face, a bard can, IMO, do it better.

Indeed; I wasn't expecting that to be so popular.

However, the Ranger has a widdle bit of a following, and the Urban Ranger even has a vote right now.

I think the Bard may win, but the runners-up will be very interesting once we get underway

I would vote any. Half-Elves already suck. There is no reason to take away one of their few remaining advantages.

Y'know, I had 'any' on the elven poll, and people just voted for that since they don't beleive in favoured classes, thus defeating the point of these sucessive threads/polls and so I veto'd it off. Now, I don't have it on this poll, and people are giving me flak for not including it.

Man, I just can't win, can I?
