New Information from the UK

He-Man, in the 2005 Cartoon Series, fighting against Skeletor when he shoots black bolts from his skull-staff, Evil-Lyn's black magick (I'm adding a k to let it sound more evilish), and that Snake-dude who is the king of all those other snake-dudes from Snake Mountain.

But is the "+2 to saves" to the character's Defenses or only Saving throws?
He-man clearly is getting a bonus to his Reflex.

To the Saving Throws. And He-Man also shrugs off the vile snake magick from that snake-king-dude. Or when he gets hit by Evil-Lyn's black magick, he pumps up and overcomes her evilish sorcery. Of course, most often, He-Man rather tries to evade instead of taking the hits automatically, but when he gets hit anyway, some time later, he stands up and pummels every bad guy into the ground.

He's He-Man, he can do that. He's the strongest guy in the universe. And he rides a green tiger called Battlecat. That's how it is.

Oh, He-Man was standing, all right. Stances are all about standing, and He-Man stood most of the time, safe then when he got smacked down by powerful blows of his many enemies.

You may find D&D 4th edition safe-enhancing exploit stances magical, as for me, I see this as something quite normal and possible for warriors, by example of He-Man (2005-series, don't know if the 198X-cartoon He-Man also was that badass, although I remember him being able to smash rocks with his fists and always grinning towards the audience), and the way he fought. You should watch that cartoon too. It's funny. :D

I used to have all action figures from the 80's cartoon. The new cartoon is but a shadow of the former series.

Anyway, I still think a "defensive stance" should help you against melee attacks and not against sleep spells.

I always find these comments amusing, like when Transformers was being released last year. I recall people saying that there's no way Michael Bay could really examine the depth of the series... to which my mind boggled, since Transformers was created to sell toys (just like He-Man was) as it's primary purpose, and character introductions were usually "RAWR! I AM NEW TOY PRODUCT NAMED <PRODUCT PLACEMENT NAME HERE> ON SHELVES WITHIN WEEKS! ROBOT FIGHT TIME!" with the occasional awesome line from Peter Cullen.

Honestly, He-Man and Transformers are about as deep as Bratz, and serve the exact same purpose.

So Fighters are called Warriors now? I like it, a much more evocative name than Fighter. Hope it's not just for the advertising.

Yeah lets have all the classes start with War..

Warlord
Warlock
Warrior

of course for a race you would have to play a Warforged.
