I find the last line of the breath weapon description interesting. It looks like the player can choose which attribute to use to modify the breath attack. Or am I misreading that?
They just scooped the Power's description in another thread.

Well, I read it as him making a choice. Which is in itself pretty interesting. If you want Dragonborn of lots of different classes to be able to use the breath weapon attack effectively, it makes sense to key it to different attributes. However, it also seems strange to just say "use whichever attribute you want," because, at that point, why not just give everyone the plus four or plus five with it?

I suspect there are a relatively small number of attributes you can choose from, maybe strength and con.

All I can wonder is why isn't the fake party picture from the sideways image the front cover of the PHB?

Interesting that you can choose your Breath Weapon type, and apparently what to base the attack off.

The first makes all sense! Obviously, it's not so much the character choosing what kind of energy it breathes, but rather the player who chooses the flavor.

The second one is something that, if given too much freedom, I usually dislike. It's food for munchkins and often makes no sense.

I could see... Intelligence (you know trajectory, the forces behind it, etc.), dexterity (your ability to aim well), and strength (physical build-up of the energy) could work.

In the thread with the Dragonborn info, it is determined that the Dragonborn can choose between Strength, Constitution and something.

My guess :

Dexterity seems like the safe bet: your breath weapon is based off one of your physical stats. Charisma wouldn't be too outlandish: Dragonborn get a bonus to it, and it represents your innate supernaturalness (among other things).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's new that you can level your powers. The warlord has Knight's move level 2.

I think that means it is a level 2 power, so acquired at level 2 or higher.

It means that Knight's move is a level 2 power. Warlord favor is level 1 and all the other powers that we have seen also have a level.
