Couple More Ideas

I am glad to see this thread continued. Could you tell me what GITS and GITS:SAC stand for. Now then, next challenge the guitar case machine guns and rocket launcher from Desperado.

Very nice, with the drum clips.
Hmmm, as for the 100 rounds IN it? Personally, I'd put it at adding about 5lbs to the weight.
Plus, those things have a bad habit of jamming if they get a hard jog. Any rule adjustments to reflect that?
All in all, though, nice.
Keep up the good work.

Not to long ago I went over to the Wizards boards and asked about ammo weight, and they said that the average 30-round clip for a 2d8 weapon is .5 lbs. So that extrapolates nicely to about 2 lbs. I don't think adding a pound, or maybe two, would be too bad.

As for jamming, have it jam if they roll a critical miss. When a weapon jams, it takes a full round action (or maybe longer, with that monster) to clear it.

I like what you've done DD, for the most part. The games I'm in are in the wrong setting for the more furturistic stuff, but I appreciate things like the shock baton, spring loaded holster, and the other less "out there" stuff. :)

GITS = Ghost in the Shell. The slick anime/manga put out a few years ago.

GITS:SAC = Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex. New animated series based in the Ghost in the Shell universe. Also very well done.

Both of them are ripe to be used as a D20 Modern campaign, they have all sorts of government plots, secret orginizations, mecha, cool guns, cool tech, etc. If you haven't seen Ghost in the Shell I'd recommend renting it at some point. Stand Alone Complex is really only available in Japan right now, but if you know where to look you can find some good fan subs. It will be out in the US, but I don't think it will land here for a few months, if not longer.

Modern Tanglefoot

Damage -
Critical: -
Damage Type: -
Range: 10’
Size: Sm
Weight: -
Purchase DC: 17
Res: Res (+1)
Radius: 10’

Tanglefoot is a glue like substance use to immobilize foes. Simply toss at the feet of your opponent and leave them rooted to the ground. When the glass vial breaks on a hard surface (i.e. at the feet of you opponent) they must make a Reflex save DC 15 or become stuck. Even if they do not become stuck opponents only move at half speed. A character that is stuck must make a Str. Check DC27 or by dealing 15 points of dmg with a slashing weapon.

Heh, Soon i'll layth the smack down with this baby. Of course it's the hidden costs that kill you, buying all the pistols and grenades are gonna hurt. The usage as cover is a cool add on too.
