D&D Miniatures Spotlight - Miniatures in Roleplaying

The revised Player's Handbook states that "The Dungeons & Dragons game is a game of imagination, but it is also a game of tactics and strategy. Miniatures and a battle grid provide the best way to visualize the action. The game assumes the use of miniatures and a battle grid, and the rules are written from this perspective."

Those two sentences might seem innocuous to someone who's used miniatures for years, but they represent a change in thinking from earlier editions of the game.

Nice of them to admit it. :)

Also:

D&D Miniatures Gallery - More Monsters
* Drow Archer
* Drow Cleric of Lolth
* Drow Fighter
* Kobold Warrior
* Kua-Toa [sic].
* Lizardfolk
* Minotaur
* Troll

Unfortunately, no blow-up pictures at this stage. :( Scale is odd in the pictures - the troll looks really small, though I'm sure it's a large creature.

Cheers!

Very simple question...

When will they be available for purchase?

And I would be happy to learn they are currently available, provided whoever indicates this also includes a link to a store.

Thanks,
Forsythe

Scale does look a bit weird but that doesn't bother me too much...The more I see of these the more I like them...nice pose for the Drow Archer too....:)

I'm sure the scales are fine, the discrepancy is most likely just a function of the picture itself. If you look at the bases, they look to be of different thickness', - the ones that appear to have thinner bases are just shrunken images ( or the subject is further from the camera... )
