New name for warforged

I'm building a steampunk-esque setting for an upcoming pathfinder game I want to run and, among other things, I'm going to include warforged. I've already figured out all the "fluff and crunch" for them, the only problem being that I can't come up with a damn name.

The premise of the setting is sort of a 19th-century dystopian Seattle + low-to-medium magic. Class and caste systems will play a large part in the setting, and I really want to give a sense of oppression to my players with the narrative of the setting.

In the spirit of that, I've got two types of "robots" that I'm using (flavor-wise). The first is essentially a large group mass-produced, labor saving mechano-men with a primary goal and that's it. No soul, in other words. Programmed for repetitive tasks, and that's all.
I'm calling them Automatons.

The second group are similar, but they possess an essence, a soul. They aren't mass-produced, instead made by mages or artificers. They have a mind and personality. They can interact with normal society just like any other civilized race (barring "tin man" discrimination). They are, essentially, warforged.
But I don't know what to call them. I would use Warforged, except it just doesn't give the right feel. It sounds too hopeful and vibrant in a world plagued by strife and depression.

So, ENworlders, can you help me? I need a name, and I know there's plenty of creative folks here.

Your sentient warforged could be named for the creator- "______men"- who actually manged to make them true living beings as opposed to mere Automatons. If they were like my PC, Hellbox, they might be called Marchantmen, for instance.

Homech, an abbreviation of Homo Mechanus.

Pneumen, a melding of "pneuma" (spirit or breath), pneumatics, and men.

I named my Cybermen/Dalek style warforged "Inheritors," since they were the Inheritors of the dwarves culture, whose brains are the source of their sentience. A campaign & background-inspired name like that could work for you.

Artificials has a nice touch as far as the layman goes. It gives it kind of an outcast-y feel.

And I like Homech as well, though it feels more like something mages and scientists would say rather than the average people.

Huh. How about Peacebuilt? You know, Ministry of Peace and all that jazz. ;)

You might have more than one name to work with: just like automobiles became shortened to autos and cars, Homo Mechanus could become Homech then Homies or Hommes over time.

Which is also kind of what I did with Pneumen- the original name could have been Pneumatic-Men- and Pneumen is not just shorter, it's phonetically identical to "New Men"...something a wit of the campaign may have christened them in some article in the newspapers.

Another option: an acronym. For example, if they were originally called something like "Oswalt Greewitch's Real-man Emulators", the populace now just calls them O.G.R.E.s for short.
