But would Belkar want to? After all, Nale is his friend, and not telling them is probably more fun from Belkar's viewpoint.

Maybe, but then again, Belkar is pretty open about his motivations.

I can see something like:

Roy - "Arrghh! Belkar! Why did you stab me?"

Belkar - "My best friend Nale told me to!"

Roy - "Nale told you? How long have you been plotting this attack for him Belkar?"

Belkar - "About six minutes."

Roy - "Huh? Nale's all the way back in jail, we haven't seen him in days!"

Belkar - "You dummy. Nale is here. Elan is in jail. If you got the stick out of your rear, you might have noticed." (Stab, stab, stab).

charm person doesn't last long enough for a fighter/rogue/sorceror.

useless multiclassing will hurt Nale.
I think the multiclassing is the make Nale Elan's opposite.

fighter/rogue/sorceror is about as close to "Bard" as you can get without actually taking any bard levels.

That was the funniest comic I've seen from the strip in a while. Honestly, I would like to see the PCs actually get hurt (IE one of them dead) at the end of this plotline. Virtually 400 strips in and not one has gone down for the count. Time for the cliche D&D climactic battle with a plot centric villain where a PC actually takes it on the chin. Invincible PCs are only amusing for so long and the strip could do with the introduction of another character to the party at this point.

I was just thinking that this may be a chance for Belkar to fulfill his own little bit of prophecy...

Belkar: "Do I get to cause the death of any of the following: Miko, Miko's stupid horse, Roy, Vaarsuvius or you?"

Oracle: "Yes."

If they were actually invincincible, rather than constantly getting their asses beat and/or only winning by luck, I'd agree with you. As it is, no rush for further defeat from my side.

Except they have never actually lost, save to Miko, and that was strongly implied to be a plot device on the part of the DM. On the other hand, none of the characters that it would actually be interesting to see the death of (Haley, Elan) are going to die, as they are not the character types that allow for death except for in a temporary or story ending manner. It's like watching a horror movie, you know who is going to die, when, and why, and who is not due to character type.

All I really want to see is something that I'm not expecting, that would actually make me interested in the story. However, if all the comic is and shall be is encompassed in the last comic, which made me laugh, that's fine too.

I seem to recal an annoyingly extended plot line of them getting their heads handed to them seperately and collectively by a group of bandits before Durkon "defeated" the leader through incompetence and a phobia.... and they really haven't won a great number of victories either - most of which are by luck or involve getting simultaneously screwed somehow. They just aren't winners.
