well, i've never read WoT, but i've flipped through it....

1) don't PC classes in WoT get a defensive bonus?

2) if you have other d20 supplements, you may want to consider expanding the bonus feat list (Hold the Line (from Sword and Fist) would be a good addition, since spear can be set against a charge anyway)

I said that I coverted it so it lost some things and gand some (bonus feats) while I was trying to keep it balanct. I try to think on the woodsman. Some things take while. Ill have the book untile next wednesday so ill run some pages throw a copying machine.

I don't know the WoT game but comparing with a D&D fighter, it seems a bit weak. There are lots of levels where they don't gain anything special.

To break things down, they get:

5 feats with choices
1 fixed feat (weapon focus)
+8 to initiative, which I would consider equal to 2 feats (twice the bonus of Improved Initiative)
Fast Movement.

If you consider FM worth a feat, then that's a total of 9.

Fighters get 10 bonus feats, they can wear armour, and they have a much broader weapon selection. Spear Dancers have a better range of skills, but no more skill points.

Would there be any rationale behind giving SD's a bonus to their AC based on Int or Wis, as there is for the D&D monk?

How about the ablity to parry with the long spear. But with the ablity to parry any weapon two sizes smaller or larger. Also mabye a defection bouns every five lvls. Also parry and expertis on the feat list.:D
